How To Conceive A Baby Boy Or Baby Girl Using The Shettles Methods

September 12th, 2009 ~ No Comments

Dr. Landrum Shettles came up with this simple three step baby gender formula, and he felt it was the best supported by scientific evidence.

He wrote a much read best selling book explaining his methods called How To Choose The Sex Of Your Baby which you can find by visiting my website. Dr Shettles claims a 75%-90% success rate using his simple, all natural, at home methods, and many thousands of couples have enjoyed an even higher (up to 98%) success rate using these very same methods to help them choose to have the baby boy or girl they wanted.

The man’s sperm ultimately determines the sex of the baby and is the basis of the Shettles methods. The woman’s egg is always all girl (only carries the (xx) or “all girl” chromosome) while the man’s sperm is what determines the sex of the baby, coming with either (xy) chromosome (results in a girl baby) or the (yy) chromosome (which results in a baby boy).Dr Shettles discovered the girl sperm were the larger, slower, but stronger of the two.The boy sperm is weaker (dies off quicker) smaller, but much faster swimmer (wins the race to the egg most of the time).

The doctor also realized that timing of sex, and the depth of penetration during this conceptual sex could help to determine if the resulting baby was a boy or girl. The perspective mother will have to learn how to time her ovulation precisely in order to have sex at the right time.

If a boy baby is desired abstain from sex until the day before ovulation, and abstain again the second day after ovulation. Also when trying to conceive a boy sexual positions that allow deep penetration are best (”doggie style” or missionary position with the woman’s legs extended up towards her head) are good. Why is this? Because of the differences in the two sperm. This timing, and deep penetration allows the faster swimming boy sperm to win the race to the fresh waiting egg, resulting in the boy baby you want.

To have a baby girl, the couple should practice sex using only shallow penetration, and not have sex at all from two days before ovulation until two days after. This gives the weaker boy sperm too much time and distance to survive long enough, but allows the longer-lived girl sperm a time and distance advantage, and in most cases slow and steady wins the race and gives you that little girl you want.

A woman’s vaginal acidity also plays an important role in which sperm is successful in fertilizing the egg. He concluded that a lower ph or a higher acidity favored the girl sperm, while a higher ph or a more alkaline vaginal environment favored the survival of the boy sperm.

Pretty simple concepts right? Trust me, you’ll still find a guide to be indispensable! There are some ebooks offered online (you’ll find them at my site) that can answer any questions as they arise, and increase your chance of success to well over 94%!

Well good luck on your gender selection journey, I truly hope you add that little baby girl or boy you been wanting to your family!
